Russell House provides childcare so mothers can attend individual counseling and support groups during their stay.  Childcare sessions are no more than one hour in duration and take place in our fully equipped children's area, complete with disco lights!  

Many of our residents arrive without transportation or personal belongings.  Volunteers are essential to help residents get to much needed appointments as they heal and take full advantage of community resources in order to get on their feet as soon as possible.

Volunteers are vital in the role of Shelter Relief Workers.  These individuals answer telephones, and fill in when regular staff must step away to respond to a crisis situation.
